Constellaition is looking for an Engagement Manager to join our Project Management team in the US.

In this role, you will serve as the client experience lead on our project team. Your role will be a highly client-facing one that involves setting delivery expectations for consultant & client team members, managing issues and risks, clearing obstacles, setting others up for success, accurately conveying project health & status, managing project scope/budget/timeline, communicating with executive stakeholders, and ensuring our customers have an overall great experience with Constellaition.

Depending on the size of the engagements, you may be placed on up to three projects simultaneously and will be charged with time management accordingly. You will be provided with training on core competencies in Constellaition's agile ASTRAL Methodology. It is expected that you will have attained Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or can point to significant experience in this area. In addition to your project leadership responsibilities, you will also serve in a mentoring and management role to more junior consultants outside of your project team.

On this more client relationship-focused path, success in this role involves being able to successfully manage projects from kickoff to deployment, continuing to draw on your experiences to claim concentrated expertise, leading innovations and refinement of how we conduct our business, elevating your communication skills to include senior management stakeholders, learning how to identify new opportunities, building bridges & making introductions to new senior client leaders, helping to develop your direct reports, and perfecting your communication & collaboration skills with clients & team members. Generally, we would expect you to be able to manage smaller engagements without much assistance, whereas more Executive leadership will be present for more larger, more challenging Enterprise Transformation engagements.

We'll now begin to train you up on higher-order management and business development concepts, but as always we love candidates who exhibit higher-order thinking/creativity/problem-solving skills by being able to 'figure it out' without having to be guided every step of the way.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead team alongside Solution Architect in delivery of Anaplan solution implementations leveraging the ASTRAL methodology
  • Manage communications, collaboration, coordination of client + consultant project team
  • Work with clients to establish cadence meetings, send invites as soon as possible to carve out time
  • Set expectations on ASTRAL methodology requirements and 'rules of engagement' for projects
  • Work with internal Constellaition team members to set up internal platforms for project success
  • Coordinate and delegate completion of pre-kickoff tasks
  • Prepare kickoff deck and lead project kickoff meeting
  • Ownership of Project Management deliverables, delegation of updates to client + consultant project team
  • Prepare accurate - not rosy - weekly status reports, including R/A/G status, RAID priority items, scope/budget/timeline tracking
  • Maintain weekly project financials, cross-referencing and validating client invoices before sending
  • Prepare and update project plan, leveraging updates from team
  • Bring prioritized issues to the forefront, work with client team to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Escalate risks and issues accordingly, giving as much time as possible to decision-makers to validate, diagnose, and react
  • Hold client + consultant project team accountable through inspiration, front-lines motivation, reminders, or escalation as a last resort
  • Monitor mental health and workload of client + consultant project team, looking keenly for fatigue, burnout, or disrespect
  • Invigorate project team & morale with fun & chummy activities to encourage team bonding
  • Review Constellaition Values Framework regularly & look for opportunities to integrate those ideas into project delivery
  • Work with Solution Architect and Project Executives to identify additional client engagement opportunities, facilitate connection & discussions
  • Identification, contribution, and execution of initiatives to make it easier for those who come after you
  • Completion of directed training curriculum
  • Active participation in company events & culture activities
  • Mentor junior team member(s) in development of their skills and advancement in their careers

  • 4-6 years experience in enterprise technology transformation project management role, functional role, or consulting role
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in USA
